Tomini Tang with Purple Tang? (1 Viewer)

It is a gamble. An acclimation box would be your best bet, but even that's not 100%.

Yes, sometimes the damage the tangs inflict on each other can be fatal, but not always.

The best time to add will be at the same time you move into the 125g with both fish are in a new environment. So I wouldn't rush just becuase a good deal. I'd rather pay more when the time is right and reduce risk of death which would be a total $ loss.

Thank you so much to everyone! I decided not to buy it because I was too fearful it would be too agressive. I did, however, buy the Teneti Tang because it also looked very healthy and I have never seen them in stores, only online. Also I guess I was just in a fish buying type type of mood.

Also, I am keeping the 72, so the Tomini will remain in that while the Teneti is moved to the 125.

Oh, Tennenti in a 72? That fish get's very large. I hope the 125 upgrade comes sooner rather than later.

Thanks Jason for the info!

Also, the 125 is coming sooner rather than later, it is already paid for and we are having the stand delivered today! Hope Something Fishy can get it ready for next week.

i have a purple and tomini.. no problem. both live well. sword sparring once in awhile but they are fine.

This, absolutely!

Your right. I also don't think I am going to do a Purple tang in the 125 at all. I was thinking the Tennenti, A Hippo tang, and a Sailfin (unless I can mix acanthurus) with an open aquascape. I will return them when they get too big, may even give them away as I will have gotten my money's worth out of them at that point. What do you think about this list if I don't put too many other fish?
