Update: Our friend Dhummel is not doing well (1 Viewer)

I haven't had the opportunity to really get to know Dwight. However, back in April of this year he was so kind to help me install baffles into my sump, from cutting to gluing and he did such a wonderful job. I had no idea he had been battling cancer. I was/am very envious of his aquarium. This is unfortunate, and all I can say is he's in my thoughts.
 
Many of conversations online, meetings, and at SWE with Dwight about our reef passions. I will miss him when the time comes.
 
I have never had the pleasure to meet Dwight, but by the sounds of it he touched many lives here on TCMAS. It also sounds like he has a great relationship with his daughter. Sounds like he is a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones. God Bless.
 
I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times. His neon green nepthea are center pieces of both my reef tanks. My prayers are with him and his family.
 
Dear members,
With the deepest sadness I have to tell you our dear friend Dwight passed away at his home at 9PM tonight. He is at rest now.

Our condolences to his daughter, the rest of the family and his best friend Terry.

I hate to be the one to post this but his facebook says that he passed away at 9:09 tonight 8-9-11 rest in peace you and your family and friend are in are thoughts and prayers if there is anything we can do to help just let us know we are more than willing to help.
 
Goodbye my friend. Your in a much better place now and cancer free. Keep a chair warm for me would ya?
 
R.I.P. to a a good soul, Dwight was a very kind individual, although I only knew Dwight very recently he was a trusting and giving person, its a shame I wont have the opportunity to become better friends but it was reassuring to know that the members of this club are more often than not some of the nicest individuals you'll ever come across.

I'm sure no ones a stranger to cancer, personally I've seen a good amount of friends and family lost to such an aggressive and painful disease (The worst case was my best friends mom fighting a 36lb breast tumor) I can honestly say although Dwight's time is up at least his pain and suffering has come to an end.
 
Should we put some money together for his family? I met Dwight once when I picked up a power head from him. He cares alot about club members, something that we can pass on. May God comfort his family.

I did a "donation" thread a while ago and some money has been collected

Never met Dwight, but sounds like a great stand up guy.. Condolences to all that knew him..

On a side note: It reminds us all, that people you know can be gone in an instant, cherish those around you. Life at times can be a invincible, and at times can be very fragile...
