Upgrade: New tank by end of feb (1 Viewer)

not sure what your doing with a skimmer but i have an octo extreme 300 id sell for a good price. Shoot me pm if your interested. I do a agree with that sicce is an unreliable pump, Switched to bubble blasters as well.

You will have to run some awesome lights for that depth of tank though...

What is your lighting plan? MH's now with tank depth with t5 sup?

need help in setting up the heater temp and chiller temp ? so that they don't run all the time.
I am thinking keeping 78 for the heater and set 80 for the chiller ?

Thoughts ?

Tank update:-

as of now I am not planning to add rocks. I will wait to get my new Dry rocks and cure them in a seperate tank and then add it.

after two weeks of time and everyday water testing. I moved everything into my new tank gradually with some Live Rock. So far everything is working good and looks Happy.:greenguy:
water Parameters:
 0 Ammonia
 0 Nitrate
 0 Nitrite
 450+ Calcium
 Water temp 78 +/1 degree
little bit of brown stuff on sand but since i added Diamond goby (from DA) it is all gone.
turbo snails are keeping my tank's back wall clean from green film.
Currently I have following fish & inverts in my tank from past 1 week.
Fishes & inverts:-
15 Green Cromis(will be taking out some so that tank doesn’t look crowded)
2 6 line Wrasse(still on same conclusion, they are paired)
2 Diamond goby(looks like they are paired since they both stay together but bought from two different places. No fight)
2 helfrichie firefish
1 regular firefish
1 yellow tang
1 sailfin tang
1 purple tang
1 Hippo tang
2 clownfish(paired)
1 midas blenny
1 blue spotted Jawfish
1 scotts fairy wrasse(Australian, medium size)
5 Cleaner shrimp
5 turbo snails
1 Astrea snail
3 Butterscotch nasarius snails
10 ~ 15 tonga nasarius snails.

Still running my 48” fixture on 72” tank. Didn’t get a time to mount Vortech’s & reflectors.

Curing approx. 170pounds of rock and will be doing Landscaping after 1.5 months, by that time all rocks will be cured.
Found a good deal on Apex controller(not basic) with wxm (to control vortechs).
Still happy with my skimmer.

finally able to get some free time to mount MP40's on the tank. amazed by seeing their power on 220 gal. I tried to generate few waves and was successful.
in the video look at those GSP's how they move.

also my nem split this evening. you can see them stuck in the drain.

Video is sweet man! :beerchug:

Do you have a Full Tank Shot?

From the video it dont look like there is tha much rock in there?

that is correct, my rocks are being cured in Safe location. as of now I have used few nice piece rocks from my old tank. I will be adding the new rocks probably mid of April or end of April. by that time, i will be mounting the lights(since am still using my 48" on 72" length tank:gay1:)
I didn't click any full tank shot, may be will click tomorrow and send it to you. as of now I have tons of wire running around.

I think the only thing I don't like about your tank is the frag rack on the front glass.;) Tank looks sweet and I love the wave action!!!

The only thing I'm concerned is the center brace being in the way with the MH in the middle/center and heat...Have you temped your tank with them on yet?

it's a 220 ray. the center supports are every 2 feet. so they are between the lamps. He's got a massive chiller to handle heat.
