My fiance and I are set to be married June 23rd, 2012 and are looking for a respectable wedding photographer.
We had one lined up that we liked, but when we told him that we wanted to retain him (exactly one week after our first meeting with him, in which he even suggested that we look around a bit first...) he said he was booked for that day now. He didn't even bother to contact us and mention that someone else was interested. Something is obviously fishy with this guy. :goldfish:
Anyways, we're moving forward. If anyone knows someone or has worked with someone in the industry we would appreciate the leads. Our wedding will be in a church so it is important that the photgrapher has wedding experience.
We are not looking for someones son/daughter that has just taken some good senior pictures or something like that. Nothing against them, but I understand photography enough to know that I want someone that is a proven wedding photographer that can handle the stresses of shooting a wedding and knows how to compensate on the fly for low light, distance, and anything else that might come up. On top of having the proper equipment (multiple bodies, lenses, etc) and knowledge to ensure a successful shoot.
Thank you in advance for the suggestions.
-Joe and Cassie.
p.s. Please excuse if I sound a bit "needy," but I am just trying to be direct. I think anyone that has been married can understand that we will only be doing this once and want the best chances to have it done right.
