So many of you are very experienced with the "needs" of the marine fish...and I was wondering what the largest fish (kind too) that should go into a 56 gallon cube shaped tank??

Dims are 30wX30hX18L

Many websites claim a certain fish could go into say 30+ gallons, or 55 gallons, and I know some of them just are not accurate....a hippo tang in a 55 gallon, I don't think so!!!!

Thanks so much ;)

That depends on the fish. For example, I would have no problem putting a full size 4-5" YWG or diamond goby in there. However, I would not put a 4" tang or wrasse in it.

Mhm maybe tell us what kind of fish you like, and that will narrow the field down.
do you have the tank already?

Yes, I have the tank already...

I have a small 3" yellow tang (will probably be moving this one out soon though..this was one the websites say 50+gallon)

1" blue damsel
1 1/2" yellow coris wrasse

I am looking at getting a couple clowns...then I don't know. I like some of the angels, but they seem difficult to keep...also some of the rabbit fish, but they again seem to all get really big (even though some of them say 50 gallon or more)....so that is why I needed some help :) I would like 1 real nice fish.

Do you want Coral in the tank also?

I love my flame angel. Its awesome and as long as you keep them fed well, they are usually OK with corals. If you don't feed heavy, then they are closer to 50/50.

Yes, I do have some corals

Ohhhh, I like the flame angels...they are pretty...I thought they were a harder fish to keep...I will do some more reading on them...Thanks ;0)

I loved my foxface rabbit fish. He would any algae that I had, and was very cool to watch. Not sure how he would do in a 56 gallon. I had it in a 90.

Hahahahahaha a nice 15" full grown one :gay1::gay1::gay1: AWESOME...

I will be in to see ya guys soon, hopefully tomorrow...I chatted with you earlier today about the live rock glue ;);)

had to be closer to 20"

Flames and Coral Beauty are beautiful fish that are always moving and fun to watch. Had both (not at the same time) and never had a problem with them killing anything. They would pick and nip but never to the point of killing any corals.

Ken

it was there on sunday. I want it but my tank is too little and full.

its expensive though. $350 i think. they also had a huge clown.
