First you ask if there was a vote on this, like the club did it just for the heck of it with no thought or input.

Then you complained you barely had to time to attend meetings, but bragged about having 'great corals to sell'.

I perceive you as a waste of my time, sorry I hurt your feelings.
 
Doesn't hurt my feelings at all. I'm sorry you feel that TCMAS is a place for you to sell stuff, and little more. Good luck to you...I'm sure I'll see you at the next meeting so you can get access to that For Sale forum again.

I'd rather have someone around that sees TCMAS as a place to sell killer corals than have someone around that sees TCMAS as a place to take out their anger and aggression on people who don't believe the same things they do. How do you keep claiming you are standing up for what is good for TCMAS while you continue to bash other members?
 
I dont mind people utilizing the forum for just buying and selling - of course I would rather they also help contribute to the hobby but if thats all you want to do - no problem!

Just become a paying supporter to the tune of $30.00 per year or $50.00 for 2 years or hit a meeting.

TA DA!!!


If its that big of a deal to you - then show up to the business meeting and propose a change

I am a nobody in this club and I appreciate all that have contributed. I have been a mod on forums that are 100 times larger than this one and I am a bit shocked by your attitude and how you reacted Zoolan regardless of when you stepped down.

Agree 100%. But I think this just started as a person asking a question and it blew up. Some of my local feeders in Rochester that are not as active on the forum as I am did not know about the new rules and were asking me about it. For some reason some mods are bothered by people asking why. Maybe they need to have another "must read before going to the forum" message.
 
I think we all could use a little Jack Nicholson right about now. Just ignore everything past 2:10.

If you have only a part-time job and can't afford $30 then you have plenty of time to attend a meeting.

If you got a tiring but well off job then you can spare $30 if you so desperately want classifieds.

This hobby doesn't care what you do for a living. If you have to survive on deals and hand-outs you may or may not be successful. This is an expensive hobby, why would you expect anything else? All you need to do is wait on buying that next super-cool coral, buy membership, and then get some good deals on corals in classifieds.

Anyone that says they can't afford it, can't afford a fish or a coral off the classifieds anyhow so what's the point?

Please, it's not that anyone dislikes you. It's simply when a harsh comment is made, people will react accordingly, regardless of who the poster of the comment is.

Im not bothered by people asking about it. Is it annoying? Yes - considering we did have a must read thread and there have been plenty of threads discussing the changes.

But - I also understand members may not have been on in a while and just wonder what happened

I tell you what - its the members who continue to complain over and over again even though they are getting the same response every time that I am starting to lose my patience with

It will not be changed unless a motion is made at the business meeting and is passed

Thats all there is to it

Agreed - it will pass sooner or later. Please dont let the hand full of peeps change your vision/respect of the majority of the club.
