Trying to finish this sump tonight and I was wonder which tubing to use that's included with the BRS 2 part dosing pump. It came with 2 kinds of tubing, 1st one is like air line tubing, the other looks to be a white plastic line like you might find on a R/O system. Any thoughts?:eek4:

I used the more rigid one for input and the softer/more flexible for output. Theory was don't want the input to ever collapse.

Been working fine on 2x pumps for me.

I was thinking along the same line.....but, they dont say squat about it in the instructions or online

Shouldn't matter which tubing you use. Both should work just fine in which ever position it is in. If you are dosing something thicker than 2 part, then their may be a chance of the tube collapsing. Biggest thing to remember is to vent the container that the solution is being pumped out of so that it won't create a vaccumme in the container. lol
I also use the more ridged hose on the input and the soft on the output, but have ran them with just soft tubing as the input and never had a problem. I'm sure if it was an issue the directions would say something.

What are these I.n.s.t.r.u.c.t.i.o.n.s you speak of? I've never come across something of that nature. :clown:

Yeah, I had to look at them for a while to see what they were, thought it was just more packing material..........I've heard some things come with them, of course, most things I get don't include them.

Keep an eye on the doses, they do fail. Brs was good about replacing mine, heard others had premature failures too. Keep the on/off frequency low if possible.

I actually called BRS with the very same question when I got my pumps. They said they didn't think that it really mattered, but that it was intended to use the harder of the 2 for suction and the softer of the 2 for discharge.

Well wasn't BRS a wonderful help!! I am going to use the more rigid tube on the suction side and the supply to the sump gets the air line tubing.

Thanks for the input everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
