Keeping a saltwater tank is something I've always wanted to do (sort of a bucket list thing) and I'm finally at a point in my life where it "makes sense." Of course, there is little that could be deemed "common sense" about this hobby, but it is addicting :)

Born and raised in El Salvador, moved to the US 10 years ago. I started missing the smell of the ocean 5 years ago and got into reefing 3 years ago. I am in advertising and love photography. Also I am a bit of a computer geek.

I found TCMAS after a nasty breakup with my LFS, and have had a blast learning from everybody.

Not much to say here. I've had freshwater fish for awhile and I've taken the salty plunge recently. I love clean lines and design, which is why I am going for the all glass look with my new nano. I'm also closely tied to Japanese aesthetics, so it works.

I got into saltwater in the spring of 2008 with a 29 gal softy tank. In Feb of2010 I upgraded to a 72gal bowfront mixed reef. Then in Sept of 2010 I did my upgrade to my current tank a 180gal SPS tank. I think it might be time to upgrade again. Oh yeah wife said I could not upgrade again, so I thought I would just set up another tank in my 17 year old sons room, 40b set up. Just picked up the light for it the other night. I still have my 1st saltwater fish I got, a clownfish from my 29 gal.

I've kept aquariums since I was about 10. I've kept freshwater and got really into planted aquariums for a long time before I got into saltwater. I started a 10 gallon saltwater back in 2004, but that was short lived due to me moving.

I didn't get back into it until I started my little 2.5 gallon about 2 years ago. That's right, my first reef was a 2.5 gallon! I had great success with that tank, and since then I had a minibow 7, 16 gallon bowfront, and currently a biocube 14. Once I move once more, hopefully my last, I will set back up the 16 gallon, keep the biocube, and maybe start a frag tank.

Been in the fish hobby as young as I can remember. Breeding and keeping African Cichlids (Lake Tanganyika) for well over 15yrs. Had a saltwater tank about 13yrs ago with predator fish and my dad got stung from the volitan lionfish. :gay1: got into saltwater (breeding) because I got tired of fresh and wanted to get salted so here I am...

try to upload photo from my mac but it doesnt work...need help.

Well I got into the hobby about 3 years ago and started out with a 7g picco. I then moved to a 12g JBJ, then a 29g, then a 29g biocube, then a 75g, then to a Red sea Max, then to a rimless 15g. Now, I still have the RSM and the 29g biocube. To be honest, I think I'm missing a few tanks somewhere in the list :gay1: I work for a company called Fischer Mfg and I build test equip. and computers for jet engines. Heres my mug....

I have a 30L that's been up for about 7 months, it houses 2 Percula Clownfish (Waddles and Marlin), 1 Lawnmower Blenny (Charley), 1 Sandsifting Starfish (Sidney), 1 Turbo snail, 1 Margarita snail, 1 astraea snail, 2 pencil sea urchins, and countless bristle-worms. I am in the process of accumulating the equipment for the empty 75G tank sitting in my living room, so look for that build thread when I finally post it.

I was involved in the club years ago and stepped shortly after the birth of my son. Right now i'm working on a 210 FOWLR and hope to get a smaller LPS tank going in the future.
