Will you be around in the later part of august? I plan on having a 120g acrylic tank built. It will be 48x24x24.
Additional use for the break out box, ATO floats or just back up floats or auto water change
Why would the Tunzes and Koralias need to be connected to the EB8?

Koralias are hooked to the EB8 so they can be turned off using the feed timer.
Tunzes are hooked to the EB8 just because its an outlet. If I need all 8 outlets to control stuff, I'll plug them into the wall, but at this point it won't be a problem.
I need to find some cheap, all plastic 3/4 solenoid valves. With those, I can automate the entire salt mixed and water change process...
Quantify cheap plz :gay1:

I'd be looking at 3 solenoid valves, or ball valve actuators. I think the best I've found were still over $100. Perhaps that's what these cost, and if that is the case, I'll manually turn my valves on and off. :beerchug:

I need a 3/4" sized solenoid, not 1/8". I have bought autotopoff.com's solenoids before, and they are great, but won't work for this application.

The fish tank thing I'm OK with. It's the 'build furniture from scratch' thing I'm not so hot at. :beerchug:
I will just say i got to see this setup first hand a couple of weeks ago when i picked something up from him! first class build this stand is amazing to see first hand. and his whole sump system setup is cool! thanks again for the Brutes!

Whew! Livestock is moved, mostly. Still have one stubborn nem who won't let go of his old rock, and I need to sift the sand for snails. So far, haven't lost anything. It took most of today, so I'm ready to go to bed...I'll post some pictures tomorrow of the new tank with life in it!

Well, here it is!

I decided to start with 3 Aquaillumination Sol Blue modules over the tank. I was able to mount them quite high off the water, so I'm not overly worried about spotlighting. Because I wanted them oriented left to right rather than front to back, I made my own mount out of 80/20 1010 aluminum stock. I replaced the stock bolts on the modules with threaded rod, and used lock washers and nuts to allow me to lock them into place on the mount.
The lights are maxing out at 50% right now, and I'll up them 5% a week until I find the sweet spot.

The sump...the tank empties into the upper container through a muffler. I have my Solid Carbon Dosing reactor in there, and will be putting my GFO reactor in there as well. Finally, I have a float valve connected to a pump in the lower sump that keeps the water level stable. All the water in the upper container goes through the skimmer and drops into the filter sock. In the event of too much water entering the skimmer chamber, there are two overflows that also run through the sock.

Okay - silly question but why so much sand in the fuge? Is it to help removed nitrates using anaerobic bacteria?

That's the plan. It is a compromise between the 'deep sand bed in a bucket' concept and the 'has to be the same surface area as your display tank to work' concept.
