I've been into the marine aquarium side since the before club started as The River's South Reefkeepers. I had a pretty nice setup at our old house back in 2004 but sold the house and aquarium stuff and got out for a short while. I had 4 MH lights over 2 - 90 gallon tanks and was successful growing a variety of LPS and SPS corals for about 8 years. When we bought our current house with the basement was unfinished so it took me a few years to get a fish room put together again.
We now have a 120 gallon tank built into the wall in our basement with various DIY projects such as an ATS, sump, makeup water tank, electronics cabinet, and lots of woodworking. I built the basement to incorporate this tank with a fish room on the backside. First I built the fish room and started up some tanks, then I built the rest. The fish room has a DBS 48x24 frag tank we call the "Mermaid Island". We also have a 25 gallon anemone tank, and a nano tank with some onyx clowns. I've had this system running for many years and most of our corals are very mature. We had a fish loss of all our Anthias a few weeks ago when the system blew a breaker and got too cold. I am hoping to get some more fish in there by the meeting but we'll see. The corals survived the 24 hour cold snap just fine so no worries there. You can see the systems on my youtube channel at the link below.
I broke my foot and will not be able to bring many corals to the swap this year due to lifting restrictions and logistics of bringing stuff on crutches. I will post some things available for sale prior to the meeting and should be mobile by then.
I'll be Fragging Forward some corals to those who come right at the start and stay to the end. Numbers are next to the sign up sheet. Doors open at 1:00pm, I will call off the numbers at 3:30 and let you take your pick of the frags below:
