on Tuesday i bought two royal grammas from Discovery Aquatics. i requested the smallest and the largest grammas that the wholesaler had. the fish came in perfectly sized, and they got along fine together in the same tank. the female was slightly damaged, but she will heal. scars make no difference when they are spawning.
for now, i have them seperated in quarantine. i did this because of the injury on the female (smaller fish). when she is healed, i will release them into the 37 gal tank with the flame angels. when i do this, i may also add 2-3 mollies to add chaos. im not sure how the flame angels will react to new fish in their tank, so ill be prepared for aggression.
right away the male royal gramma is eating pellets. the female seems less interested in food, but would rather stare at me at all times. they are both very shy still.
here is a picture of both fish in their breeders nets.
for those looking for more information, here is a link.
