Sponsor-A-Newbie Program (1 Viewer)

I'm with ya on that one Nate. I'm not a total newbie, but I have a ways to go yet before I would feel secure enough to mentor someone.

I may have a semi decent amount of posts, and have researched a lot, but I am yet to be allowed to study a running reef system in depth. I only have two corals in my 16g bowfront nano. A rock of zoo's and a 2 headed frogspawn, I also have a rock of mushrooms but I dont count them. I may not need a sponsor, maybe I do, anyone around shakopee/savage want to let me check their system out in detail? explain this that and the other thing to me should I have questions? Maybe I do need a sponsor... your discretion on that one gogregorson.

In response to kaluden and many others that have had similar questions, this program is designed to be an initial entry for newbie's. More of a welcome to the club and introductory help to the hobby. For those that have been to a few meetings and been around for awhile, I strongly encourage you to take the initiative to ask fellow club members "Hey, could I come over some time and see you tank?" or "Hey, could you come over and give me advise on my tank?". I can assure you, there are very few in this club that would turn down the opportunity to show you their tank. www.TCMAS.org is a great resource but I want to let all those that are new to club, TCMAS is a face-to-face club, this site is not the club. So I encourage you to get out from behind the computer and make connections in the club.

Since we do have many young hobbiest out there I ask that you be 18yrs+ or have a parent present to participate in this program (for liability and safety reasons).

WOW!! This sounds like a great program for newbies with 6 years under their belt. I'm in the Somerset / New Richmond area and could use help on my setup.

I could put some of my knowledge cpthowdy's way gogregerson. We work together in somerset etc. Call it a 3 way if you will. Ummmmmm. sick.
