So what do I believe? My lying eyes? or the canned response emails that I get from fish companies....:mad_3:grrrrrrr
so this is the 2nd time this has happened. The first time, the guy called me and was quite huffy at my insinuation ( well really, f I just said it I didnt insinuate) that he was enhancing his advertising photos, he was SOOOO
offended that I could say such a thing...blah blah.....give me a break, what I got when I opened the bag was/is the UGLIEST coral i have in my entire tank. If I didnt have a heart I would dispose of it, but I cant do it. Its "suppose " to be a turbinaria renformis....purple...either dark or light, I dont care, they advertise a light lavendar color. And this thing looks like a piece of skin.
IM NOT EVEN KIDDING....like someone took a chunk out of their thigh or something, makes me kind of nauseous feeling....
anyhoo, after having it out with online fish guy..I said my piece and let it go. Planning never to order coral there again. Its a big company btw. if that matters.
K, so I order a jawfish, and a cyphastrea... a coral I have been desiring for a long time. I liked the pic, although it was not a meteor shower or superman, which are my favs, and I will add them one day.
and what I got, was...well....disappointing to say the least. NO color, NO nothing, it is so far removed from the sales photo ( different company this time, equally as well known) that I would have to put it on the moon, under actinics to MAYBE get it to look remotely recognizable to the photo.
here is the comparison....of course they told me the coral I got ..IS THE EXACT ONE! *head desk* and gasp....HOW COULD I SAY THEY ENHANCE THE PHOTO, THEY WOULD NEVER EVER DO THAT...terrible me....:coolmad:
I took the picture under my 14K phoenix bulb, straight down and under the light, it has alight pinkish tone, but to the naked eye it looks tanish. bleh they said if I had a 20K radium bulb it would look like the picture....
come on...seriously???????? guhhhhhh
Im just getting really frustrated with this kind of thing....if people ordered from my website and I sent them any ole thing, I would be in jail for fraud.
geez people. just put a picture OF WHAT IT IS. stop trying to make it in to something its not. and the final nail in my coffin...the jaw fish I got yesterday, is now $20 LESS TODAY...............................they couldnt mention that?? That just isnt something I would ever do to one of my customers.

my horse sales business would probably go down the crapper. LOL I ship horses all over the country, people buy them on my word because they know when it gets off the trailer it will be exactly what I said it was. I dont have to enhance anything to make someone buy it. Im just cranky and irritable over this...haha What can I say?
