What is the temperment/disposition/reef-safe of lookdowns? They're a really unique fish, maybe I'll have to get some in the future.

little info on the lookdown

Selene vomer is a schooling, subtropical fish with a maximum length of over 40 cm/16 inches. At the very least, it needs an aquaria above 300 gallons, and realistically 500 gallons, to do well, in part
because you don't keep one, you keep three or more. Plus, water temperature needs to be kept around 20-22 C/68-72 F, as befitting a fish that can be found as far north as Maine, USA. Its long thread-like fin extensions make it a prime victim for nippy Tetradontiform fish species like triggers and puffers, and its nervous, schooling behaviour means it won't do well in tanks with territorial or aggressive "top dog" fish like surgeons and angels. They inhabit open water and dislike rocks, and can easily damage themselves on abrasive rockwork should they get alarmed. Finally, they are notoriously fussy feeders. Whilst Selene vomer is a darling of the public aquarium industry, and in fact bred in captivity explicitly for this market, it's value as a home aquarium fish is near to zero and its lifespan under such conditions much reduced.

maybe in my next major build *dont ask about that yet*

150dd and stand *stand will be for sale*

okay, so just to throw a wrench in my plans.... i was browsing the net and found a few things that i wanted and purchased.... however they fit no where in my plans.... so what happens then.... hmmm you wander around the house and say..... if i removed that wall..... and shortened the hallway maybe my master bed room can be up stairs, and if a added a wall there the kids room is now downstairs, and if i remove a wall or 2 in here the old master bedroom becomes a huge 30x20 fishroom......

so tommarow i think i may add demolition to this thread.... i gotta go get a sledge hammer and see if i can do that....otherwise there maybe one other way to tie these into the system.......

i admit this is getting out of hand..........

what did you buy? i would be careful about removing walls without really thinking about it. you may have to relocate plumbing and electrical.

lol while i respect your umphf i would seriously consider how long you will realistically run multiple tanks before you tear down your house ;P

lol i know... hence why i stated i admit this is getting out of hand... i do have 3 air exchangers to be installed and i wont have the evap with leds.. so im not to over concerned about moisture... yet.... if i left the set up where it was i can locate the frag tanks elsewhere.... and like i said its something i wanted, dont know if ill set up both.... undecided at this point... saw the great deal, and said okay.... if i use em great....

just called the electrician neighbor, hes gunns stop out before i take any swings... and the wall in the current mast bedroom does not have any electrical or plumbing... that one i know.... and i dont think the one dividing the 2 rooms up their does either, it just removing 2 closets....

idk... like i said a thought.... well see what tommarow brings
