I thought so. .That program was a staple in another career. :biglaugh2: It works well too!

I seriously need to get some updates....

Tank is up and running and has been since mid September.

I transferred all my coral and fish from my 28 gallon and didn't lose anything! !

I have added a bunch of coral and fish and things are going great.

The LED fixture is awesome! The corals are looking amazing!
I still need to get my dosers connected, have had them for several months... Doh!

I still need to get the wood work on the stand.

Some LED questions

What are the dimensions of your LED heat sink?

Any regrets with the size and accessing the tank?

How do your single point RGB work out? Any shadowing/ color splitting?

How high do you run the LEDs (say 750/1300 ma is max for blue/white)

My Heatsink is 10" x 46" Here is a link: http://www.heatsinkusa.com/10-000/
I made acrylic legs for my heatsink so I can easily slide it forward and back which allows me to access the tank easily.
I don't notice and color banding from the RGBs. But they provide very little light compared to the rest.
Here are my currents on my LED strings:

#define REQUESTED_CURRENT_COOL_WHITE (12000UL) //mA * 10
#define REQUESTED_CURRENT_NEUTRAL_WHITE (10000UL) //mA * 10
#define REQUESTED_CURRENT_ROYAL_BLUE (9000UL) //mA * 10
#define REQUESTED_CURRENT_TRUE_BLUE (5000UL) //mA * 10
#define REQUESTED_CURRENT_GREEN (5000UL) //mA * 10
#define REQUESTED_CURRENT_RED (5000UL) //mA * 10
#define REQUESTED_CURRENT_VIOLET (5000UL) //mA * 10

Here are some pictures...finally!!

On Monday night I swapped out my SWC Cone 120 with a Vertex omega 150.

The foot print of the vertex is over double of the SWC.

So I will need to remove a lot of live rock, or my cheato.

Which is more important to keep?

I have also finally mounted my BRS 1.1 ml dosing pumps. However, they are not online yet.

The tank is coming along very nicely! I'm setting up a 120 and with my new sump I opted to forgo the refugium in the sump. In the previous setups it did not provide the nutrient export as well as GFO did and others I asked if it was worth the sump space have told me that you want a refugium a lot larger than what we can make in our sump for it to be beneficial. The live rock in the sump will house the pods and other critters if that is what your using it for also I have found.

It's extremely doubtful the live rock is needed. What is currently in your show along with the substrate should provide plenty of biological filtration.

If your at all concerned about it, look into the ceramic bio balls like these: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/marinepure-ceramic-biomedia-1-1-2-spheres.html or these http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/marinepure-ceramic-biomedia-plate.html

Take up way less space than that rock and will provide more biological than the rock is.

For pods and stuff very little if any will ever actually make it to your show tank from the rock. If you really wanted for your show you need to build a safe-haven for pods in the tank itself.

Unlike the average fuge you run real lighting for it, you are definitely doing much more with 30w LED than most 80 watt incandecent bulbs.

I see 3 benefits with my fuge (very similar setup to yours).

1. Nitrate export. Human grade seaward is about 2% protein by wet weight, which roughly correlates to nitrates. Assuming you get 10 grams of cheato a week (I clear out about 15-20 g every 2 weeks) and you have 400 liters of total volume you are clearing out 5 ppm (200 mg) of nitrates. I would say this is higher than the same volume of rock would reduce.

2. Out compete other algae. I notice a bit more algae growth when I removed half my cheato, I avoid removing anymore than 25% of it now.

3. The magical benefits... Running it during the night hours gives me something to look at when I can't sleep and I occasionally catch a small issue.

BTW what is the coral with the purple tips in third photo? I love it!

It is an ora coral (ice tort) that has changed drastically (for the good) under my new leds (perhaps to much light?). The tops are not purple though, the camera picked that up. It is really cool though.

I am going to have to come see this thing one day. It looks great Brian.

You guys are all giving me camera envy....

Well I need to get the camera out. I don't think the cellphone should be allowed. It is just to easy.

For an update: I added a maze brain, plate coral, and clam.

I need to capture some pictures of those.
