how does the spray bar come out?

How far into the spray bar does your screen go? Mine is probably 1/2" into the spray bar.
I got some time to work on the canopy for the stand. I managed to get it all cut and the frames assembled. I also got it sanded.

What do you think so far?
I need to cut the panels, stain and varnish everything. Then assemble the pieces into an actual canopy.
With luck I will complete it by the tanks two year anniversary!!

I copied "Turbo's" design. I tapped the acrylic and thread the plumbing into the ATS. This allows me to put two gaskets on the spray bar to seal it up. I simply loosen up the "dead" end of the spray bar and it lifts right out. It is AMAZING!
I hate to be slow, but I still dont get how this works?

What do you think so far?
Ok, I am never on a PC so I don't have a means to modify the pictures so we will just try this with words again...
So in this picture the threaded cap get loosened when you want to take the spray bar out, and tightened when you want to put it in.

The next picture is looking top down of the spray bar. The spray bar is made from a piece of PVC pipe, a PVC coupler cut in half, and two O-rings. One half of the coupler goes on each end of the spray bar. This allows the 90" and the Cap to thread into the coupler ends of the spray bar. Now as you know this would leak really bad. So what you don't see is the O-rings that are inside the couplers. This seals the spray bar to the 90 and the cap.

So when you loosen the cap you can simply lift the spray bar out without touching the incoming plumbing. And the Cap is really easy to turn. When it is all assembled it is strong you can lift the entire unit (with led fixtures) up by the spray bar.
So I do not have to touch the plumbing in this picture below, when I take out the spray bar. Normally you have to disconnect a union or something.

Hopefully this explanation helps...
if it wasn't for the black acrylic, your living room would resemble that of Kramer's when the chicken roaster opened up across the street!
