Rainbow Phoenix monti with a growth tip. Trying to become an acro I guess

Overgrowing an old vermetid tube?
Great looking colors, by the way!

definite possibility but usually the vermitids outgrow the acro/Monti encrustment by a bit and peek out at the top. I’m leaning towards that though.

Aptasia slowly getting removed by either the nudis or filefish, not sure which. I do know the filefish also likes my duncans and I hate aptasia more than I love duncans so they'll probably have to go soon :( Starting to get a bit of bubble algae but other than that things are good and growing.

Decided to start a second RRC OP colony as a backup

Unknown brown frag I got while in Chicago starting to get some color

WD Frag with and without PE

My other WD colony. Have this one higher up to see if it changes anything with color

BC Bonfire

BC Pink Cigarette getting some cool yellows on it

Aptasia is gone in the display, however I don't think the war is over as there's still some in the sump/overflow. As long as it stays out of the display I'm fine with it though. Ordered another Battlebox a month or so ago and below are some of the pickups.

BC Rocket Sauce

BC Bohemia

BC Hawaii

BC Glow Horn

BC Nero Table (I think)

Pic of the SC Dynamite grow out

No pics of fish because everytime I take pics of them something happens to one of them  can't jinx it for a while

Looking good. I just received my first Battlebox today. So far very pleased. Did you give Adam any guidance on selection or did you let him do his thing

Nice battlebox. I received one yesterday and it was the first time I found the selection to be lackluster. Granted I didn't drop a grand on the box but even so.

I did get the Bohemia though, so we'll see how that turns out.

I always send him what I currently have and a wishlist of what I still want, however ultimately I tell him he has the green light to grab whatever. If there's a color I don't want though or something I make sure to tell him that as well.

Thanks, I'll try to get pics of the rest from this box but didn't have much time today. I'd agree that this box wasn't as great as my first one, however with Adam's corals you at least know that you're getting healthy, hardy corals that won't rtn within 24 hours. That paired with the size of his frags compared to the rest of the vendors keeps me coming back. I'm done paying top dollar for 3-polyp nubs.

Aptasia seems to be 100% gone now, thanks to the nudis and filefish tag-team. In its place, however, bubble algae decided to show up. Nutrients have been fairly elevated as of late, so I'll be attempting to get those under control without freaking the system out. I've also been struggling with keeping my salinity up/stable. Main cause is my skimmer that seems to go nuts all the time ever since I cleaned it last week. Hoping it just needs to break in as some new encrusting sps growth has died off on a few pieces. Other than that, my next big plan is to do a complete switchover from apex to GHL. I have almost all of the needed equipment, just need to find the time/motivation.

Picture dump time

Purple? Gorgonian

WD after tryinh to get polyps to recede to show growth

WD w/PE

BC Rainbow Brite. Super fast grower

JF HW

Unknown Chicago nub keeps coloring up nicely

Reefer Cove Poison Ivy

BC Backdraft. Tough to get the yellow/orange tips but I'll try better next time

BC Blue Ghost

OP

OP. As you can tell by now I love taking pics of this guy

The switch from Apex to GHL is basically complete. The only thing left to do is to finish programming the outlets and maintenance/power cut modes. So far so good, however it was a PIA and took a whole evening/night to switch everything out. Still waiting on some parts that are backordered from GHL, but we're almost there. Will probably hang onto the apex as I have the par meter that only works with one...

Couple of random pics

Nice! So we should all read between the lines that we shouldn't harass you for the Apex?

Looking good!

Would you mind sharing your coral nutrition info? I see some AcroPower hooked to the doser in the one photo, what, if anything else do you use? And with that, what kind of NO3 and PO4 numbers are you shooting for or are you at currently?

Agreed....or more direct question would be: how did you get all the algae from your tank into mine?!!! #spotless!!
