BlindSwordsman's K.I.S.S. 90 Gallon Mixed Reef (1 Viewer)

To be back in my habit, in the other news, I have 2 OG bounce mushrooms that I was hoping that they would split and then I would have more of them. Then mr. @nox.rupaw crushed my dream and told me they would not. I went: WHAT THE HECK!?!! 😬 .. So, I took out a razor blade and cut 1 of them into 4 pieces. So, we'll see if it will stay alive 😆. It looks like 2 in the picture here but I actually cut it into 4 😁.

Mmm .. No, no brass balls here. I checked!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What has to be done, has to be done, you know? They have been in the tank for about a year or more? I think it should be OK. I also ran a cut through my Frankenstein bounce mushroom as well 😁.

Ken, I may have missed it but did your Royal Gramma harem wittle itself down in a chromis-like scenario?

No, you didn't miss it. I just chose not to mention it, haha .. The royal gramma had been going quite well until my tank had an iche outbreak last year. It hadn't had iche for years but I was guessing that I added something into the tank (non fish thing), it carried some foreign strain of iche or something and all of my fish got sick. None of the royal gramma made it afterward. I have been thinking about adding new ones back in but I have another issue: I have a flame hawkfish that likes to swim in and out of the rock and nips on other fish's tails. That will be problematic for the royal gramma. So, I might have to consider taking out the hawkfish before adding new fish in, but I just don't know how to catch that thing out. I don't want to drain my tank at the moment. So, if anyone has sonme sort of trap that can catch that fish out safely without breaking my stuff, it is yours for free!!! 😆

Since we are on the 'fish' subject: All of the fish are doing fine. I only had an incident where the Solar/Clown fairy wrasse got startled and jumped out when I had the hood opened during feeding time. I saw it jumped out but I couldn't find it for 5 - 10 mins. By the time I found it, it was dead. The other thing was: I thought I lost the yellow coris, but then I found out it was just unhappy about something and went into hiding for 2 days then showed up again. So, no more fish loss so far and I have less fish now than before. I once in a while think about adding more fish in but then with the hawkfish thing, and possible risk of creating a new cycle of fish illness, and risk of turning my tank into a warzone, I still haven't done it 😕.

It's been 3+ months since my last full tank shot, I believe. So, here's my current full tank shot. I was thinking I should do it before I fix something again. I probably need to frag something before I lose some heads from being overshadowed and such. The tank's going fine in general and I don't think there's anything interesting to mention. I haven't checked my nitrate and stuff for a while after the last time. I think the tank is doing fine and I see no need of doing so. I still dose maybe 1/6 of the recommended dosage of All For Reef. Does that do anything? I have no idea!!! But things looks fine. Maybe not 'awesome' or 'perfect', but they are 'fine' ... What can I say? 🥴 😄

Looks beautiful, as always Ken!

So, I was out of the country for about 3 weeks. I redid my tank a bit before I left. While I was gone, my sister came every other day to feed the fish just in case, even though I had installed some auto feeders on the tanks. Her main task was to refill the fresh water buckets for the auto top off when they were low. I told her to touch nothing else (as it would be safer that way because she does not know anything about fish keeping :D). I came back and everything was fine. The glass was just a tat dirty. All of the fish were alive. I did lose a few euphyllia heads but not many. I'm still having the 'hang over' from the trip. Nothing seems to be too exciting at the moment. As far as I can tell, there's not much change anyway. Well, the purple stylo seems to be growing fast and it's about 1" away from the surface of the water now. And here's the current full tank shot.

Incredible Ken!!
I'm guessing you meant: It's incredible that the tank did not crash while he was away with the way he keeps it?? 😂😂😂
