100 gallon artisanII BY CADLIGTHS (1 Viewer)

for the price and the quality they supposedly have they should be getting you a new tank for sure. id be livid and raise ultimate jihad on there asses! no excuse for sloppyness like that

i never trust any Rimless tank maker beside Elos,,,
its night mare to live with it,, I thought we have a catlight distributor in our club,, ,

From the overflow . But that is not the only thing . The back left corners are a little off and they made the difference with cilicon .

Can you just silicone the overflow better to fix it or is it a bigger problem then that?

Why would they not do silicon on the bottom part of the overflow ? Ridiculous I shouldn't have to add silicon to anything .

Pete, for the price of there systems.... it should be absolutely flawless.
I believe you have a very strong leg to stand on.

I guess you haven't checked out Miracles or ELOS yet. Cadlights is in the mid range for price points compared to other custom rimless companies. Unfortunately I would still go through Cadlights over Glasscages.

You may feel $1800 + is "midrange". My marineland tank for $280 has tigher joints and true seems...

Don't forget the $1800 is a package deal *skimmer, reactor, lights etc, not just the tank. The tank alone would probably be around $1000 by itself. Try shopping around for custom rimless tanks and see what type of quotes you get with same measurements. A production tank i.e. AGA, Marineland, Perfecto, etc will always be cheaper since they are mass produced and use trims/bracing hide the blob of silicone they use.

I have dropped cadlights for a while now and have warned most members here to not do any business with them.

That is simply disgusting to see, Pete... I hope you can turn things around. :(

I know it's just bad craftsmanship . EDDIE EMAILED ME BACK and said he would send me a tube of silicon . Can you believe that . I shouldn't have to do anything . I will call the BBB and deal with them like that plus a bad review on YouTube plus Facebook .

It also never hurts to mention that you are a part of a large reefing club and their reputation is not crap here

Honestly, I've tried all and everything you can say to Cadlights/Eddie. They don't care, they will gladly respond to orders and compliments fast, but when it comes to customer care its down the toilet it goes. Unless their sales significantly drop because of unhappy customers they will continue the same practice everyday. Most of the unhappy customers do not post or comment on forums.

Their is no standard "Quality Control" and very inconsistent with all their products. They are more concerned about getting the orders made and sent that they do not check them before they leave. They accept imperfection/secondary quality and pass them as 1st. Unfortunately until Eddie treats current customers like they are ordering their first Cadlight setup, I don't really see this company growing and I do wish people would post reviews more on other site and do more online reviews about them.

This is terrible Pete. I don't think a tube of silicone is gonna help:swear: what a D Bag! Sucks to have everything go bad, and not have the company stand behind there products. LMK if I can do anything, although from what ray says calls and emails might not help.

Wow. I was looking at ordering a tank from them. Got quoted $850 for just the tank. I was quoted over $1100 for a Miracles rimless with same dimensions. A tube a silicone. That is ridiculous! :mad_3:
