I'm pretty sure the Petco site is secure. The only thing they would send you is Petco advertisements if you allow it.

no issues here, just a petco email but i was already on their mailing list.

I host mail servers and the battle against spam has been harder the last few weeks. I've had to up protection levels quite a bit.

I don't think it has anything to do with petco.

I can double check this for you, but I'm almost certain Petco doesn't sell information. I think there's something actually printed out to this affect. I'll see what I can come up with when I go to work tomorrow.
