Ooh... I think I know how this is going to go. :ac39: Good luck!
I never fed it a thing hoping it would stay small forever

Did Lemon give you any more information about its biology? Or which anthias is its closest relative? Larger or smaller species?
It would be interesting to know if you have a female or male. Is this fish submissive to any other males? Or just keep to itself?
Regardless, very nice fish!
And that comment about "isn't visually very special", not every fish needs to be a Mucha to be a work of art; like my Pictus Blenny.
There are still lots of species to try! He didn't say much about it, but he did know what it was right away. If I had to guess I would say it's in the same complex as hypselosoma, which I haven't kept. Acclimation and husbandry have been easy so far. Large foods were taken right away. It's been submissive in general but defends its little ledge by the torch coral pretty aggressively. It's also fun to keep a fish where there's really no advice to work from.
Totally agree. Visual appeal wears off anyway and you learn to appreciate the behaviors and interactions much more in the long run. Pretty fish are for girls :fritz:
Here's a close up of the color pattern near the caudal penducle in case anyone's search lands them here looking for an ID:
