Alk consumption is rising, about 0.4dKh a day right now. Last count I have 30 some frags of SPS in the tank and a few LPS. Things really started taking off when I doubled my feedings, so I think I was underfeeding. Coraline is exploding, sps color is great, only downside is a bloom of cyano on my sand and vermatid snails.

The fish are fat and happy, so I can't really complain too much.

Haha. I gave it a quick pass before taking the photos, but I like leaving it a little dirty. The kole tang, pods and snails thank me.

Looking awesome man !!!

Cyano is not bad. Means you haven’t bottomed out your nutrients .
Any moment I dont see cyano on my rocks and sand bed , it worries me as it can easily mean - I might have something out competing cyano and many times it has been Dinos .

Regards,
Abhishek

Yeah ironically enough I haven't ever had any dinos yet in this tank, even when I started it. I think the fact that the rock and tank went so long without light (5 months) helped me get past the ugly phase. Now that I'm feeding really heavily and using acropower (aminos) I think that's bringing out the cyano - I've read a lot of people experiencing the same issue when using aminos.

Just documenting some frags for future growth comparisons. :)

How did you hang your lights?

I have them attached to the second floor 2x4 subflooring inside my false ceiling. I'm just using the included ATI hanging kit now. I had built a 2x4 frame and set it in my ceiling and attached it to the subfloor, but I removed that when I swapped out fixtures.

Things have started looking good I see ! Now it’s just a matter of time before you have a breath taking Sps tank !!!

Great job in riding out the ugly phase :ThumbsUp
