Fijicube 81 gallon (1 Viewer)

ATI test RO water separately which is a nice bonus, but takes longer. I use Triton and like it.

I will say while I don’t *think* light is your issue, I’ve also never seen sps grow under only Kessils.

I was thinking about adding some of the Reefbright bars to each of them. No way I can convince my wife to let me get new lights yet 😁

Its supplement lighting! You need it. Just show her this thread and say people are recommending all kinds of things. Supplemental lighting is WAY cheaper than replacing ALL your lights! 😜

Reefbrites are a really poor value for a bar with only 450 and 470nm diodes. You can get that from a $90 Aliexpress blue bar

I need the attachment more than anything I don’t know if I can hang lights on my setup the way it is now. They make an attachment that hangs on the Kessil mount it’s the only thing I can think of

Oh right got it.

Attached is a report from my last tank if you want to see what they provide

Thank you @Jjdurrant for the PAR meter. rough readings right away were close to 500 PAR at the top and 150-200 at the bottom. I tamped her down just a bit and am now at about 450 on the top shelf and around 150 on the bottom. I dont think the light is my problem. I got my ICP test today and will be sending that off in the next couple days.IMG_3373.jpeg

Good news on the light. Sounds like you have plenty of par power is there any chance you have a bad magnet someplace in the tank? I lost almost all of my acros and I’m pretty sure it was from a nano glass cleaner.

Also love the copper band. Such a pretty fish.

None of them look bad as far as I can tell but I suppose I’ll know more when the test comes back

So I have been doing some thinking (dangerous I know). Any thoughts on attaching this T5 hybrid fixture directly to my Kessil mounts? Says it weighs 12 pounds or would that and the Kessil lights be too much weight for the rim mounts attached to the back glass

Well test results are back. Not too bad, phosphate is too high .19 but I knew that. The one thing that is puzzles me is the silicone? It is off the charts according to this test in my RO water. I use a 5 stage RODI that includes two DI resin chambers with the mixed resin. I have purchased another two chamber DI resin station but have no hooked it up yet. Just bought it to replace the old one but what are your thoughts on moving away from the mixed resin and having dedicated chambers for the two different kinds of resin. Not sure how else to explain the silicone. Everything else in the RO tank and the tank itself is within the range except low on a couple minor trace elements like Iodine. Also wondering the difference between phosphorus and Phosphate as the recommendations of lowering phosphates were in the report but nothing about the extremely high phosphorus.

Just ordered the individual resins. Will run them both then through the mixed bed resin. Sounds like Anion resin may be better at removing silicate which I assume is silicone on the ICP test. My TDS reads zero by the way. Other than than just slowly bringing my phosphates down is about all I can see wrong with my water.

That silicon is weird. I had some in my last ICP, is suspect from the silicone hose on my return pump but in your RODI water is weird. How are you storing the water?

In a plastic barrel not sure what it’s made of. Maybe I’ll swap it out for a Brute can, that’s what everyone else seems to be using

I also use a silicone tube on my return pump but your right this is from my RO the barrel is one I got from someone else years ago that must have been a liquid container of some sort. The top is cut off but appears to just be a plastic barrel. Any ideas about the different phosphorus reading or is that just another reading for the high phosphate
