Re-added the UV to the system. This time I added it onto the frag tank return line, with my reasoning being:

It required the least amount of turns in the plumbing to implement.
It would reduce the effectiveness of it (possibly?) and not over-sterilize? This is just my thinking and in practice who knows.

Ultimately, I only really want it for water clarity this time around. I don't care as much for bacteria/protozoa control. I want to get my water a bit clearer without the need for carbon, and I had this lying around so figured why not. I wish I took pictures of the inside before I cleaned it though, because good lord was it nasty. I had never fully taken it apart to clean before, and the amount of calcified detritus on the walls was at least 3mm thick. Took two separate 24 our citric acid soaks with a thorough scrub in between to get it back to new.

Oh also the worm is gone. Not sure if it died and decomposed or if it escaped the super glue barricade somehow. It was in there for months and eventually I forgot to keep checking until recently.

Beautiful man. Things to aspire to for me.

Which one is it? It looks amazing.

Coming back awesome!!

I don’t know how you keep those acrows happy with that nice gentle flow for the torches but it’s working!

Took a lot of messing around with configurations, and still on the lower end for sps flow. Best I could get it though.

The gyre pointing at the surface definitely helps to keep the flow towards the top.
