how to keep tank crystal clear.!!! (1 Viewer)

if you mean the biocube skimmer, then you definately need a better skimmer.

75 gallons is not enough for a hippo tang

Organic nutirents floating = coral food. That's a good thing.

I'm guessing your expectation of what a saltwater tank should look like is off. Particles is not a bad thing.

Now if the inorganics are left long enough and turn into inoranic/disolved and allowed to accumulate yes it could lead to problems.

If you really want to deal with it ( I personally don't think it is itself a concern or issue ) then run a filter sock periodically or upgrade your skimmer.

I say put a sock on sump intake and use a carbon reactor not a loaded mesh bag. and be sure you have a great skimmer. Also make sure it's rated for a tank biger than your and not up to a 30gl. thats my 2 cents..:)

Koletang- I am planning on moving them into a 75 gallon tank. bio skimmer is the little skimmer that is in those cube tank. my skimmer that came with my sump never worked. so i decided to use the bio skimmer. what i have in my sump is the little skimmer in 1 chamber, live rock in 2 chamber, return pump in 3 chamber.

The Hippo Tang may not be happy in a 75g. I had one in a 120g and had to get rid of it before it killed all the fish. It would also rearrange the corals. They become very mean in too small of a tank... Ime. I was warned but had to learn the hard way. :( Also Tangs will really add to your biolaod as they are always eating.

I would also advise you to remove the two tangs. Your tank is WAY overstocked and the tangs need more space to swim in.

Yes move the tangs, it is inhumane to think their conditions are acceptable even the 75 will be overstocked.
