I did a thing…. IM SR-120 incoming (1 Viewer)

Well after a few weeks in copper I decided to install the divider yesterday and put the new fish in. It looks like both the fox face and Tomini want to go meet their new friends

Removed the divider in the early morning hours while everyone was still resting. My powder blue has taken issue with the fox face swiping at him. He’s the only one that seems to care so hopefully that calms down. If not I’ll be looking for a home for the fox face.

On a different note I woke up to the ph alarm going off on my tank. I did a 10% water change last night my ph was sitting at 8.2 when I went to bed. This morning it was at 7.2…. The water was stable for 5 hours after the water change then just dropped. My ph probe is new as of Monday. The skimmers were also going nuts. I don’t see anything missing. Nothing seems out of place. I just don’t get it

I’ve had my ph probes dot that also. For no apparent reason they just crash. Usually unplugging and cleaning the probe does the trick. It happened on my 1 week old probe even… so I’m guessing it was more than likely air bubbles to blame as the probe itself was clean.

Now I just run a 2nd ph probe in a different area of the sump so I have two reference points.

Yea I was having issues with the old probe. Hanna sent a new one and it was good for the whole week. Then over night the ph bottoms and skimmers go crazy…. Water tests fine so idk I’ll give it a day and see what happens. I hate the idea of having to add another ph monitor

Well the fox was put in here for his own good. I’ve never seen my powder blue that aggressive with another fish.

Tangs are dicks. I added a small yellow and interesting enough my little tomini went right after him. I suspected the blue hippo to be the asshole there though. lol. They seem to be getting along better now though.

hippos generally don't care. but powders and yellows are territorial for sure. after a night sleeping by each other they seem to be doing good now.
Justin are you still messing with RC?

Spoke to soon. Watched the fox face get the blue with a spine right above his mouth. Been about 30 minutes and the blue seems fine. He’s definitely keeping his distance now though

Did a little experiment last night. Locked up all but one of my turbo snails. The free one was lucky cause i couldn’t find him. But I did this as my nori feeders were picked clean by morning. I have 4 smaller tangs and smaller fox face. But I would refill them about 7:30. I’d check the tank about 9:30 and nothing would change. Fast forward to 4:30 when I get up they would be picked clean. I knew the fish wouldn’t be doing it after lights out. It would appear I’m right. Minus a little missing from the one feeder they were both basically full. So it was the snails picking it clean over night. I’ll confirm over the next couple nights. This should help back down on the nori consumption!

Yes indeed! I had a few small ones I got rid of with Aiptasia X. Has not returned.. knock on wood. I also have file fish and two peppermint shrimp.

Well my head of Duncan just ate a pineapple sponge that landed on it and now it’s pissed! Hopefully it has no ill effects.

Also my clown goby chillin in his favorite spot.
