Very nice collection of LPS!
Lobophyllias are my all-time favorite coral.

Interested to see how this one does in your system.
Mine has changed to a blue with green highlights over time under my LEDs.
And it's feeding response has all but disappeared. Hopefully, not a slow demise.

Great looking set up.
I like the inclusion of the white board for tracking parameters and your routine.
Thanks for the pics.

It has been in a tank for the last six month so its not new to captivity so hopefully it will be fine, I do worry about the LED lights and am contemplating going to a hybrid T5/led from pacific sun or a ATI unit .

BRS, assorted types

I may have missed it, but did you cure the rock prior to getting the tank setup? Or is the lanthanum chloride you're using enough to knock out any phosphate created from the organics in the rock breaking down?

I cured the rock of five weeks in two 45 gallon brute cans and a power head in each I dosed 10 ml a day of ammonia and MB7 into each after three weeks nitrates were over 100 and phosphate of the charts . I then added the bio pellet reactor, nitrates went zero in 10 days . I then dosed LaCL in the reactor and maintained a zero Po4 for the remainder of the time. Once I started the tank up proper the rock was cured and bio pellet reactor on line I have had very low nitrates < 1 or phosphates 0.00 on Hanna checker / 4ppb on Hanna phosphorus checker from day one.
I do not have a need to run LaCl on the tank right now even with very heavy feeding.

Chad Vossen scored me a couple nice Scoly's and a Lobo. I am really struggling to get decent pics from my point and shoot . Anyway these were the best shots so far I love my pink and gold LOBO from DD !!!

Now that's a fish! Is he from the Red Sea?
It is not , when I first saw it the belly is so yellow I was sure it was, it is an Indo Regal with great coloring :)

Great FTS!
What's your trick to keeping the cleaner shrimp from stealing from the LPS during feeding?
My shrimp are notorious for mugging the corals; even after the food has been eaten.

I have always had this problem previously but I have four cleaner shrimp in this tank and they just don't like the Fauna Marin LPS pellets :)

Nice FTS. That rockwork looks great.

FYI, there's a pair of Paracheilinus bellae up on Pacific Island's site. ;)
