Slowly winning the battle. I suddenly lost some fish and I am not sure why. I added some of the rock from the 92 after I did an acid bath and I am thinking I added to much at one time which may have casued the water to get goofed up. Yet when I tested everything looked good. Anyways I wasnt able to find and remove them so I am thinking that also may have contributed to the hair algae.

Nate gave me that frag when he used by fish trap and I thought he said it was a tri color, I loved the purple color. I placed it up high in the tankl and it has lost some of the dark purple since that pic was taken but it is still a very nice coral.

I am just amazed at the difference in the corals from the 92 to this tank. I am seeing polys extend much more then they ever did. Now my sps really fit the "fuzzy stick" name. And the colors that are coming out are so cool.

Looks great Ken! Nice Crinoid in there, have you been stirring the sand bed to kick up detritus and such for it to feed? Clams look awesome too, that valida (bonsai) is smoking!

Thanks Matt, I havent done any sand stirring yet. It has stay in the same spot on top of that rock from day one. He is in direct line with the Tunze I have in the upper corner so when I feed the tank everything gets blown his way. I mix cyclops and reef chilli in with the brine and mysis so it gets plenty of food when I feed the tank. Its red feathers with the white spines are so brilliant that it catches everyones eye when they look at the tank.

I have 4 clams now, 2 croceas, 1 squamosa which is getting real big, and I believe the last one is a maxima. They are all in the sand bed at the front of the tank. They all are opening up very nicely and are doing very well. I think clams are so cool looking. They are another one where people not into reef tanks ask what they are.

Thanks Dwight. Just when you think you are getting control of it, then it comes back stronger.

yeah, your tang should eat it, but if he doesnt then, not feed him for awhile and he should just eat the HA like crazy! but if you have other fish then that my cause a problem
