Redbull gives you wings! Then finish.
ugh bittersweet it just makes me wanna do it too haha :beerchug:
dude nice! what was the total cost of this build??
so far I think its in the 300 dollar range...(which includes, rocks, sand, tank, lights, heat sink, spray paint, )
Didn't WANT to spend that much (considering the tank was only 80) but I'm definitely happy with the results so far, and the color of the lights is exactly what I was hoping for , so I can't complain.
The spread of the light from the LEDs does leave a bit to be desired, but coral placement can at least somewhat negate that effect (lower light corals on the outdside, high light inside)
On tap for today:
I still need to drill 2 holes in the side/back of the back area to insert potentiometers through.
Also need to cut an acrylic cover for the top (which I think will end up being some sort of enclosure built into the LED fixture itself unless I change my mind) to protect the LEDs from salt spray.
Now everyone go vote!
i know absolutely nothing about LED's but i was looking on LEDsupply.com and noticed they had 42 degree lenses that you can put on, might give you more light coverage.
