Redwingers 75 gallon in wall build (1 Viewer)

the key is to keep everything suspended in the water colum so coral/fish can continue to feed as well as getting exported to the sump and skimmer for mechanical filtration.. the moment food settles into the nooks and crannies in excessive ammounts is when u run into water quality issues
Not much settles at a 94x turnover ;) and if it does the bacteria consumes it rather quickly.

Yes three times a day from the eheim auto feeder. The black axils seem to have a higher success rate.

what are you feeding form the autofeeder that the anthias will eat? i'm using spectrum pellets and mine won't touch it.

FTS:idea:

Oh that will come once it grows out a bit. Plenty of growth so far but still a ways to go.

Also a big change in the equipment is coming in the near future. Needless to say I need more room and no that does not mean the display tank is getting bigger. ;)

Good to see you back, Redwinger! I've still got a colony of your Grizzly Maze from a frag swap way back when but it has lost some color under LED's; growth still phenomenal as always.

I look forward to seeing what you do with this tank!

A dirty sump perhaps???....

A big one. Dam I miss the good ole days.

I remember that piece. That going back quite a few years :)

It involves a 40 breeder, and a 75 gallon sump located in the basement. The 40 breeder will be a frag tank and the 75 gallon is going to be the sump. This will effectivelly double the tank water volume, stabilize the temp even more and increase the maint. regimen as hauling 20 gallons up the stairs every week was happening about every two months. The tough part is going to be running pvc 25 feet through the floor/ceiling to get where it needs to go. Should make for a interesting day off filled with curse words.

Sump is in and plumbed. PS150 pushing the water from the basement with no problem. In fact it needs to be dialed down a bit. I drilled the 40 breeder frag tank and hope to get that plumbed and running in the next week or so. I will post a picture when I get everything organized and straightened out.

40 Gallon frag tank and 25 gallon quarantine tanks below. Frag tank is lit with a ice cap ballast and a xm 20k bulb and fed with a mag 9 from the sump.

When the radions switch to daylight on the display I will try and take a couple pictures.

Couple Growth Shots excuse the crappy point and shoot photos. Colors are not even close to accurate.
