Time for an upgrade (1 Viewer)

To do list:

Get tallest 2 baffles cut down by about 1.5" (or find a 30 long tank)

Zing down barbed bulkhead on sump, get a threaded cap - silicone in capped bulkhead to seal sump (or find a 30 long tank lol )

Need a 1.5" hole drilled - need 2-1.5" bulkheads and 1-1.75" bulkhead

1.5" gate valve

Plumbing pieces

I have the PVC primer, cement and silicone tape - I think.....

Angie, I think you need to buy a bike now.

Been there - done that

Had a 2003 anniversary Harley Sportster. Just didn't ride it enough to justify having it around know what I mean? Tell ya what, I had a blast tricking it out though (much like tank builds).

Before (stock from dealer):

As to Omens build - we found a sump so now he has a 20 long tank with a hole drilled towards the bottom and some glass panels (baffles) for sale

Panels are cut for a 12" front to back tank and are 2 at 10.5" and 2 at 9.5"

:rotflmao: +1!

May I ask what made you decide blue over black?
I like blue because it makes the tank look more spacious and because after have a black background I notice I liked the blue more.

"A sportster!? I grew up with a Sportster, I've been wanting another sportster!"
Anyone who gets that reference is awesome.

Main reason I hate blue is it just looks gross once algae starts colonizing.

Its called cleaning the tank. If you wipe it down once a week you wont run into such problems.

To do list as of tonight:

Can of Kilz - prime paint outside - rough scour inside and kilz inside

Door hinges and knobs

Order adapter for OR2500

Templates for artwork

Small cans colors for artwork (Orange, yellow.....)

Noah working hard on the tank build tonight: lol

You can kinda see it in the pic - his whole face is dirty from the sanding other than just around his eye's where he was wearing goggles. Looked like he had been at an all day Motorcross track man!

Apparently I need to join these tank parties that you guys have, because it seems I'm missing out.

LOVE the goggle marks, dude!

I agree with the cleaning the back glass to keep it nice, regardless of background color or algae munching inhabitants (they can munch on the algae that grows elsewhere...). I simply prefer black over blue because I feel blue is obnoxious (except the amazing blue sea-scape background.. That one wins)!

You're more than free to stop by whenever you are in the area. Im thankful to have Angie and Ted help out. We could always use more help. I like blue because it makes the corals and fish look nice as well as the tank looking spacious just a personal preference.
