I will be traveling to the event from Wisconsin and staying at the hotel Friday night. I can help with Friday night and Saturday morning if needed.

Right on dude! I will be shacking up at the venue as well. It will be great to meet you and have your help. Thanks for joining the forum and being a community player from the get go.

Still could use a couple folks to sit at our tables to help the show move smoothly and spread the good word of TCMAS. Great chance to earn full membership on the forum.

It's just about Expo time! And we need to round up some bodies to make sure we can put on a great show. As a volunteer organization it takes active members to step up and throw down to help out. And this crew always shows up. Volunteers will get a flashy T-shirt and a year of full membership. You will also get a chance to hang with the vendors and maybe catch some good deals!

There are multiple shifts, so feel free to signup for a couple roles. Here is what we will need......

Friday, 7pm-12am - Setup: The venue does the major room setup, and our club needs are minimal. This is mostly in support of our vendors, many of whom will be traveling to setup the night prior. Helping to haul their gear and any help they may need as they roll in and get setup. Not everyone will need to be there the whole 5 hours, but we wanna make sure there are a handful of people at the ready.

Saturday, 7am-11am - Setup: This is again mostly for vendor support. Some may not setup Friday and will need some help in the morning.

Saturday, 11am-4pm - Welcome Table/Entry Fee: We will be charging a cash only entry fee this year, so this is potentially the highest activity roll. We want to be sure to have a few good folks there early on helping get people through the line effectively. We will have member lists for early/free entry and any cash handling needs at the the ready.

Saturday, 11:30am-4:30pm - TCMAS Info Table: Our club will have a table with general info, stickers and such. We want to introduce folks to our club, help anyone signup on the forum and guide them to our TCMAS Merch Store. We are not having a standard raffle this year, there will be some level of giveaways/raffle, but not the circus of years past.

Saturday, 4:30pm-7pm - Cleanup: Another role mostly in support of our awesome vendors. Many of them will be traveling to Des Moines immediately after our show to setup for a show on Sunday. Whatever we can do to get them on the road smoothly will go a long way. Our club needs will be minimal and the venue does any major cleanup.

@Reefer Oz , not sure if the logistics would work out on the venue end, or if there's room for an additional table. But if there's interest, I can do a table with a microscope and show samples of dinos, diatoms, and algae from my own tank. Or if other people want to bring in their own samples to look at under the microscope, I can facilitate and send them microscope images.

I had a bad dino outbreak last year. And one thing led to another and now I have a pretty complete setup that can show live scope images on a TV or computer monitor.
