I was doing that. Going in and backing out. Just using 3 in1 oil for lube. It broke when the aluminum bar slipped from my hand. Just need a place locally to get another bit.

Ace Hardware carries them as does mills fleet farm. Ace is a little cheaper.

Also +1 on the self tapping screws.
 
Thanks for all the suggestion. I was able to limp by, by starting the thread with the screw I was going to us. Then I had enough left of the tap to finish the rest. I was able to finish the majority at work and was able to pick 2 more bit at ace. Now done tapping them all now got to figure out placement of all the leds.
 
Update. One piece done 5 more to go.

If you do have issues with the drivers I can most likely help you with them, this includes repairing them. I found a good source for the driver chips at $2.00 per chip.

Well ironman I'm going to have to take you up on that offer. One of my driver is not working correctly. doesn't seem to be outputting enough voltage. My fault as I plug the + wire into the #2 plug pwm input 1. Now will only light one led. Fried one of my UV led some how too. But everything wired up just got to get over this hurdel

Ouch. Well, remember, if you order a new UV, I would love to piggy back on the order. Anyway, don't run the single LED, it will obliterate the driver. I have a few of the CAT4101 chips on hand, and will be placing an order for a few PWM chips very soon, so I should be able to get you back up and running.
 
Ya I was lucky and I can run the rest of the whites on the double driver I got for the 8 CW. I may be ordering more next mth I let you know, This mth I'm broke because of the frag show. :laugh:

which UV are you guys using? I have my order for rapidled almost ready.. just need to sell a few more things :goldfish:
 
Here it's finally wired minus 1 driver and 1 UV LED.

Now the PITA get the DIY controller programed correctly. I still have to figure out the moon light programing.
