Nice stand, it doesnt look like wood, it looks like pvc or something. Very nice gloss finish
They aren't going to get you the one you wanted? You are going to look elsewhere?
That internal bracing on the bottom, bottom euro bracing I think it's called, might be more common in big tanks than your think it is. My tank has it and when you get into the details of many others big tanks they have it too. Something I never knew about/saw until I got mine. In the end I think it's a pretty good thing, provides way more surface area/strength than normal construction.
Top cross braces suck, always do but such an important part in many designs. Guy who made mine said if I glued in the center braces mine would never come apart. Not sure what that means since I never did...![]()

And nice choice on the M1!

Orphek! They just look awesome.Update: SC came back with a financial alternative to sending it back....so the build is back on.
Vectra M1 return pump has been ordered!
I went with Besser Glass for my baffles. I usually make my own out of acrylic, but I can't have a baffle failure, since the sump can't come out once it goes in
I'm still waffling on the lights... down to Radions or Orphek.
Is it too late to retrofit a door into the end?
:eek2:

On a different note, when I built my for a different tank, I put a door on then end so I could remove the sump if need be. Is it too late to retrofit a door into the end?
:eek2:
I think....I think you just need one of these.that should cut through Jason's beautiful stand, right Jason?![]()
I think Jason just died a little inside hearing such talk
It's not a big deal to go this route. Worst case if the sump fails, I can go with a remote sump, since my fish room is on the other side of that wall. I will have plenty of skimmer even if I put in a 150 gallon sump![]()
