Only stinker about the GHL lights ( I see they have clarified their website now) is they did not mention it’s all ala carte so you don’t get a power supply. They do it that way so you can buy a single bigger one if you want multiple bars. Then if you want to control it you need a splitter and cable to program channels and schedule.

It connects to a Profilix controller, with the cheap one being $99. Otherwise it’s just on/off like a reefbrite or Quanta.

Haha I think there’s just a head start because every inch of my live rock is covered in Coralline. And crushed coral is a great medium for it to adhere.

I shoot for 1350 but only test monthly and it’s usually low as the Red Sea salt is a bit low.

Does it still smell like sulphur? I tried some and wanted to use it but couldn’t stand the smell. I guess its from the anhydrous calcium he uses.

Yeah a bit but I have grown to like it
Once it goes in the tank and mixes with the organics there is no smell whatsoever. Solid consistent parameters everytime. I like it…
Also seems like a new improved version. Mixes clear super fast

It’s always stunning to me how 2-3 “simple quick reefing tasks” end up taking all afternoon. But, I find I strangely enjoy it. I put on a reefing related podcast or YouTube video and dive in (dad pun intended).

+1 I like the routine tasks and also try to listen to a reef pod or audiobook. But the 1 off tasks can definitely be a headache. Sorry to hear about the shipping and the impeller. UPS and the other carriers are a major pita to deal with. Good luck my friend
