Cheezy's Eurobraced 210g SC aquariums (1 Viewer)

Come on... we need pictures.
Here's a few pictures from Dustin's house meeting in January.

Ok ok....here are some pictures. I couldn't find the tripod, so they aren't as crisp as I would like.

Here is one for you @jlanger - the flame hawkfish pair on their favorite couples perch.

Not a great pic, but this has some promise. I believe this is a DFS strawberry shortcake

I will have to work on a better FTS as the ones I took were beyond salvaging.

A huge thanks goes out to jlanger for building and doing most of the installing of my new floating canopy.
It looks great!

Looks GREAT, I love the aquascaping! Can't wait to see more of this! HINT ;)

Ok. Here is an update :) I have to clean the glass before I get any new pics though

My dkH is down .5 over the last 5 days, using my usual dosing schedule. I don't know if the corals were on a path to increased growth or if it was due to the T5 retros, but I will take it either way. I am visually seeing spurts of growth on some of the acros.

My PC rainbow is the one piece that doesn't seem to be loving life. There are a few spots of faded color, and not a lot of growth as of late. A little sad since that was the one that made it through acro-pocalypse last year.

On a positive note, I clipped the top of one of my Oregon tort frags to spur growth, and it looks like it is almost back to original size already :) Maybe I will part with the baby frag I got from it once it encrusts.

On the fish side, I had to increase my feedings as the small goby was looking pretty skinny. The larger one still chases him/her around the tank, so not much opportunity to sand sift.

Oregon tort is growing, PC rainbow is not. Sounds like a fair trade off to me.

Still a pretty nice FTS! Everything looks healthy and full of color

It's been about 3 weeks since my last update. Corals are growing well. I had to frag the green monti as it was shading one of the surrounding acros. They are the designated test frags on the new frag set up.
I moved the PC rainbow to the sandbed, and he seems to doing better.

On a sadder side, I lost the smaller sleeper banded goby. The bigger one just kept harassing him to the point that he didn't get a chance to sift the substrate. The only food it was getting was from the daily (but heavy) feedings. My Naso tang also starved. He was always a really picky eater. Not sure if I ever saw him spend any substantial time scraping rocks. It also didn't eat pellets.

The tank does seem a little

They are indeed. I like them. They are the V3. I did add 2 T5 bulbs. I could have gotten away with just the orpheks, but I wanted a bit more blue to the spectrum. The control (app) could use a little work. The light spread however with them is amazing. The PAR is similar throughout most of the tank. Not a huge amount of shimmer.

Almost bought a v4 for my tank but ended up going with the GHL mitras instead. Too many bad customer service stories with orphek. Maybe someday if i get another tank ill run one of their smaller units over it

Very nice!!!!

A couple photos from last night. I have to get the orignal FTS that my wife took. The images she sent were compressed way down.

Update time. The corals are really coloring up! A few of the maricultured pieces are still brown, but it seems that they tend not to flourish until the 6 month mark IME.

Growth has been decent. still dosing around 60 mL/ day of each of the 2-part. I am looking at redesigning my ATS as the water flow on the screen has been inconsistent lately, resulting in spotty growth. I also dialed back a bit on the 20k white channel of the Orpheks. I am getting a bit more film algae on rocks and glass than I would like. I'm sure part of this is due to the performance of the ATS, but even when it was running well, there was this propensity.

Still trying to perfect my photo skills. Some of the photos look like I jacked the saturation to the max (weird color smear), but this is not the case.
