Great shots... even more impressive is that they actually look like that in person!

The ultra blue shots are fun however, I'll always be a sucker for a color accurate one 😊

Sorry Keenan for mis spelling your name.

Thanks Mak, and no worries you're not the first to misspell or mispronounce it :)

I get asked about my parameters and these are the only three I regularly test along with Salinity.

Phosphate is pretty high right now due to it bottoming out the last few tests (my tank consumes A LOT of phosphates) and so I just kept adding neophos daily without testing each day (oops 😅) and it climbed a bit high. I usually like it around .1 for what it’s worth. It’ll come back down to that in a few days so I’m not too worried. Aside from that, things are looking good!

You run your NO3 low! I prefer mine around 67.8.

I like it high but idk about that high 😅 before getting the Hanna checker I always used the cheap api nitrate checker and it consistently read at 30-40, so that’s where I always thought they were. Now I get this and it says 17, and I’m inclined to believe this is the correct measurement. I’d like to get it up to at least 20 though. More fish??

So I took this measurement yesterday evening. I wasn’t lying when I said my tank consumes p04 like crazy

larger your SPS colonies, more nutrients it'll soak up.
It's been this way for a while though. I honestly suspect it's a vibrant after effect, even after 1.5+ years of not dosing it at all. That crap absolutely stripped my tank of all phosphates. I believe the live bacteria in vibrant are still in the tank. Just my uneducated opinion though. I do agree that my corals are consuming some, I just need to keep dosing neophos in insane amounts to keep it available for them.

to build on that.... for years 0 to 2, P04 sucks. But in a stable/mature tank P04 are your friend. thats been my experience.

This is the #1 most vital thing for my tank, hands down

This tank is now over 2 years old and had some rock in it from the start that was 3 years old at the time so I'd say it's pretty mature at this point. I strongly suspect it's a vibrant bacteria issue that once in the tank, can't be removed. But dosing neophos daily isn't to big of an issue. I should really just put it on a dosing pump.

What about feeding more?

What about feeding more?
I already feed a lot, plus that would also increase nitrates and overall detritus. Dosing pure po4 has been the best way to maintain it ime
