Fishfoo's IM170 EXT (1 Viewer)

@reef junkie got it this morning and it’s works perfectly! thanks for the idea Shawn I would've never thought of something like that. Plus it stretches out perfectly behind both my sump and tank. Still need to organize the cords better but for now it at least gives me peace of mind.

I keep seeing the resin filler on my facebook ads from Printed Reef and think it looks awesome but $30 + shipping was more than I could justify . I just spoon it in and make a lilttle mess.

@spsick does your Fish of Hex version have the same issue as Fishfoo's Printed Reef version of the plunger being slightly too small a diameter to push it all down perfectly?

My understanding is the pattern for them is widely available. Time to hit up your nearest friend with a 3d printer. Assuming there aren’t patent issues (I doubt it but I’ve never looked) I could also easily cad up a new pusher that’s oversized and you could sand it yourself down to the perfect size.

I’ve got a 12 year old nephew that would love to make me something. Lol. I may have to try and find the file and see if he’ll make me one. Where does one find the files?

Yes mine is the same. The problem is the canister is slightly narrower at the the neck so I don’t see how the plunger could be wider and still fit. The beads are so slippery that even a millimeter would allow them to slip around it.

Very true. Didn’t think about that.

Another thing that I recently added and can’t believe I never did sooner was but a digital temp reader for my mixing station. Seems like a no brainer yet for all these years I’ve been manually checking it each time

So I found out that IM includes a shelf for the complete setup option of each NUVO tank, so I’m going to call and see if I can just buy the shelf. If that’s an option, I’ll just put all of the electrical on the shelf which will solve my problem and also create a bunch of extra space under the stand in the process.

I was gonna ask if you could put a shelf in or even Velcro on of those control boards to the back wall on that side and mount all your controllers on that and put the power supplies on the back to clean it up and hide the larger pieces most don’t care to see.

I have one for IM 50 lagoon aps stand

Yeah hopefully when I call Tuesday they'll say they can send one or at the very least give me the exact dimensions.
Imagine the luxury of not even using the space under your stand 🥲
Lol that's why I was ok with sticking the tank in the only unfinished room in the house, it meant I could use as much space as I wanted :)

Received this guy from AquaSD circa 2019. The picture on their site looked insane however the piece I received looked nothing like it (go figure). I will say that AquaSD made things right when I reached out about it.

Fast forward to when I was moving things into the new tank and the way I repositioned the rocks in this tank completely shaded out this colony. I was going to leave it and just let them (likely) wither away as they were grown onto the rock and it would be tough to break off, but in the end I decided to do it. And I’m glad I did because It’s been in the frag tank for six+ months and has colored up insanely well.

So I thought HDPE sheets would be stiff (shows how much I know) and it most certainly is not. Received custom cut plastic sheet and it bends way too much to be used as a shelf. Unfortunate. Will likely just get some MDF melamine board from Home Depot and cut it to size.

In other news, I FINALLY completed my 8 weeks of dipping. Man that was not fun, but glad it's over and was successful. Was also fun to re-mount the sticks that survived along with a couple others I may have recently purchased as a reward for getting through it 😂IMG_2505_jpg.jpeg
