Hey hoho,
You should ask to test the trident. I am sure you are the talk of the office at Neptune HQ. They probably have never seen anyone go through 12 liquid ph test packets in a 4 day period. You would be a perfect candidate for the opposite side of the bell curve study... They always need a few of those testers...
I feel like the trident and other automated dosing/testing solutions are going to really push this hobby to the next level for most people and give us an insight into coral growth based on various factors, I.e. adding/removing activated carbon (what effect that has for uptake) feeding the fish regularly/sporadically, type of food fed, coral feeding and aminos. The testing should give a much better insight into all of those things IMO
Exactly my thoughts. Can also run a elevated levels if you wish to quantify increased growth. I know BRS has tested and proven higher foundation elements will have faster growth under the right conditions, this will just allow that option to be done in a safer/more manageable fashion!Yep. The more things you can lock down and stabilize the easier it is to see the effect of something else being changed. If Alk, Ca, Mg isn’t where you like them and you aren’t seeing success it’s easy to adjust them and keep them stable at a new level for a few weeks to see their effect as well.

One thing I really like about the Trident is it is very consistent. With manual tests you always have to be very careful you do them the same every time. Make sure the drops are consistent, all the dry reagent is out of the packet or the little spoon is level, is that really blue or do I need a couple more drops... With the trident it does the test the same every time.
Sunday I got some nice corals from Sean. I preemptively bumped my dosing a couple ml. Today I already see the Cal and Alk moving down in the Trident tests. Makes it really easy to adjust the dosing to match the new usage.

I just hope we get a release or at least release date before the speaker event May 18 so we can tap terence for knowledge of the device without the NDA
