Was happy to see Tropic Eden makes a coarser grain of Reef Flakes that won’t blow around as much but it’s not as pretty white as the standard

Okie dokie wife gave me a few hours today and I got all the wood cut for the doors!

Got a fancy new set of Freud tongue and groove router bits for proper cabinet quality doors. Unfortunately didn’t see until tonight I needed sacrificial boards on exit AND entrance to prevent a dip so I need to recut a bunch of stiles :-/

Doors and Overflow facade are built and ready to be sanded and finished.

Tank ran for 2 weeks with RO water so I’m happy enough that should have pulled out anythiny the PVC gluing will have leached.

Romex is pulled for the 2 dedicated 15a circuits.

On track to hopefully have it done in time for the business meeting!

This thing turned out pretty nice. Better than expected and a nice low profile.

Attaches to the stand via 4 French cleat blocks. The trim less part at the top is where a 4” top trim will slide into place hiding the water Line and blocking some light spill

Got the controller board done with a nice shelf for my doser, 2 dedicated 15a circuits wired, and got the stand upstairs in place.

I knooooow. I should have just saved up all the progress pics for one initial post. This way at least people can see how long it takes to complete a custom build?

Last 2 doors got their final coat of finish last night. Trim goes on and tank gets placed Wednesday. Light rack is on the ceiling and ready.
Then it’s a matter of when can I carve out 8-12 hours to do the switch.
