I did a thing…. IM SR-120 incoming (1 Viewer)

Well the film looking crap on the clowns is looking a little better after a couple days.

And because the stock mounts for the uv are trash and broke! I’m drawing up my own.

Woke up the other morning to the brackets for my UV being broke. I originally wanted to vertically mount it anyway. So drew up some plans and printed them. Still getting my new printer dialed in. It should work just fine. Now I’m waiting for the bracket for my carbon reactor then I’ll plumb it all together.

It’s all plumbed in and flowing…. Kind of. The little mighty jet that comes with this tank can’t handle the head pressure and has dropped to an impressive 49gph 😂. So it will run on that till I find a replacement.

I may modify this guys aio filter to fit my little 5 gallon tank. Could make for a cool little coral/invert QT setup!

Well I was skeptical about the whole co2 scrubber idea. But after a couple days my ph has gone from 8.0 to 8.2. I’m hoping to get another point out of it but most say they only gain 2.

On the fish front copper got brought up to level yesterday so now starts the clock!

If I still needed a clown he would have been coming home with me. 3 spots one on each side and one up top

Got home a little late and went down to check on the tank. I kind of like the heavy green stage

Embrace the ugly. I love it!

Been a bit! Work gets real busy this time of year with people needing booze to survive family time 😅.

I’ve had the diy media reactor running for a couple months. Definitely working but I know I was super restricted on flow. IM doesn’t make anything for 3/4” tube on the SR series. So I drew one up and printed it. So now I can use 3/4” all the way. It necks back dow to 1/2” loc line in the tank but with the way I have the chamber setup I’m still getting almost 400 gph more flow which is huge. Now I can adjust flow for the UV much better.

Small project was this 5 gallon pico tank. Decided to make my own diy printed wall. It’s got a 95 gph pump on it. Was thinking of using it for coral and invert QT. Hopefully ad some water later and see if it works like I hope. Next I need to print some media baskets for it

well the week is here. The display tank has gone through almost 7 weeks of fallow and the fish just over 30 days of copper. So mid to end of week they’ll be going back into their big home. Which is good as the copper was starting to get to my yellow tang.

The display tank has been doing well in this period. The sponges are growing like crazy in the back. The pod population is huge. Hopefully my mandarin makes it. He has gotten super skinny in QT I can’t seem to get him to eat anything in there.

The new turd collector is working really well. 3 days to break in and it was pulling nice dark skim.

Well it’s been 7 weeks of tank treatment. Went 1 extra from what I was told. All the fish have been moved back in and are very happy to have all their space back!

Fingers crossed! I really hope it all goes well. I bet they're ecstatic to have some swimming room again :)

I think my shrimp is stuck in a molt. He’s been here about a day. Colors are a little off and looks like he has a extra set of little feeder claws like he got part way out

Well time for an update. My shrimp did molt, but it took him two days to do it. So not sure what that means.

My water is staying nice and clear! No white bucket challenge needed. I do think I’m at a point where I may start dosing kalk. I can’t seem to get my ph above 7.9. And my calc and alk are just under the low range of recommended. I think this has caused a stall in my tank. I do about a 10% water Change every other week. Thinking I’ll start real low like 300 ml a day and go from there.

My yellow tang loves his veggies. I have a new powder blue in the QT tank. I hope they get along like my previous powder. Plan to put some egg crate in to keep them apart for a few days. But I’ve got a couple weeks to figure it out!
