Epoxy and superglue, it has dried over 2 months so it should be good, then that piece rests on top of the 2 base pieces so I can remove to clean or maintence as needed. With that said, i have plenty of acrylic rods so i can drill and strengthen the design some if needed. Only the rock with the arch is attached, the rest is just piled against each other. But since it is a shallow tank and it wont be stacked high im not too concerned about anything falling or shifting.Looks nice! how did you end up creating the overhang? Acrylic rod, glue, putty? Or was the rock naturally shaped that way?
Also, Just personal preference but I always like to keep a bit of space behind the scape so that flow can get behind the rockwork easier, removing a potential detritus trap. Even a couple of inches can go a long way. Looks like you may have this accounted for already though.
And yes, I tried to leave ~3 inches between the rock and glass at any point. The pictures are a bit misleading but there is space back there. Learned that the hard way with my reefer 250
