120g Acrylic Acropora Addiction (1 Viewer)

Any chance you can position it peninsula style so you can view from both sides

Maybe it will make it easier to clean both sides. That back wall isn't staying clean without touching it.
I think access to cleaning the back wall is the key :)
For that reason that’s where I draw the line with my tank

I do intend to clean the back wall with a scraper. We’ll see how well I do.

everything done except top trim piece and the equipment swap. Most of which comes over from the 75 aside from:

-new Tunze 3155
-Helio heater controller and BRS heater
-Quanta Pro Meso Blue 48”

I love the look of it. I will definitely be following to see how the acrylic care goes. I almost pulled the trigger on one but going to stick with current build for now. I have almost the same type spot as your tank and the peninsula looks awesome there.

There you go!!! The sand and live rock is the same correct. It will be interesting to see if it skips a beat at all
Looks beautiful 😍

New sand. I went with crushed coral so it wouldn’t blow around. In the past i’ve had good luck with using some or all new sand as i think it gives a new well of minerals for the corals (and algae) to draw from.

95% done here.

-All equipment is migrated over except secondary heater

-Upgraded from 4x BRS 1.1ml pumps (most reliable piece of equipment I’ve ever owned) to GHL 2.2 doser to save EB8 outlet cycles and make it easier to adjust dosing. The BRS pumps all vary quite a bit so i have to do more math to get the same daily amount.

-Upgraded all dosing to 2.5g HDPE jugs so I can go 40 days on Part C and 80 on Cal and Alk.

Just have to tidy up wiring section, finish the top trim piece, and mount LED bar to my T5 fixture. Also looking at 12” LED bars (GHL Mitras 3 or Reefbreeders Meridian Edge) to round out the lighting. GHL gets the leg up being able to run 2 off a splitter but then a leg down because it requires a special controller or Profilux.

Things are settling in. Brown fuzzy stuff starting on the sand and glass. Tang gang is mostly keeping it at bay.

Aquascaping is mostly done. Need to get a permanent home for the staghorns.

All the fish are happier and swimming much more communally. I out the baby tang and clown pair from the frag tank in first and that seems to have worked.

Solar Flare colony melted shortly after the move but I expected to wake up to that any day before the move even. One of the chromis took a liking to the flavor of its polyps and it has been declining since.

Oregon Tort hit the ground running and has a bunch of new growth.

Checked params today, Nitrate at .1 and phosphate at .01 so I’ll feed more nori and PE mysis to keep these above zero. I don’t feel it would be appropriate to start dosing nitrate or phosphate right now.

Unsurprisingly, fancy blue light corals look great once you get them under some blue LED 🤗
